Vietnamese, Please!

Executive chef and owner Tuan Pham has struck gold with his take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Foodies all over the metroplex have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Four Sisters for at least a year. When they finally opened their doors, I knew I had to indulge in a taste of Vietnam.

As soon as I walked into the door, I was greeted with smiling faces. Everyone was warm and I immediately felt welcomed. I gravitated to the bar and had a seat. The bartender was friendly and walked me through the menu as I explained it was my first time. The options seemed tempting and I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I started out with a cocktail. The Michelle, which reminded me of an Old Fashion was refreshing and strong. Just the way Uncle likes it!

My stomach begin cussing me out and I didn’t hesitate to place an order. I settled on the Fried Egg Rolls and Grilled Lemongrass Pork. The egg rolls were fresh and piping hot. They were accompanied by a light tangy sauce that was a nice compliment to rich flavors packed into the roll. Now the Grilled Lemongrass Pork! Yes Jesus! Man, they were to die for. The pork was cooked just right. Two words come to mind, succulent and divine. I almost ate the lemongrass stem but the bartender had to talk me out of it. That’s how good it was. My server asked how I was enjoying the food. With my mouth full, I could not utter a word. The only plausible response was a head nod and a thumbs up! He chuckled and left me with my head in the plate!

I could have stopped eating after that but I opted to be a full on glutton today. The Beef Pho was calling my name and I answered without hesitation. As soon as it was placed before me, the aroma of fresh herbs from the broth was alluring and captivating. I took one bite and it was like the heavens opened up! The rice noodles were just right and beef was seasoned to perfection. Once I added the garnish of cilantro, limes, and jalapeño it played as a harmonious dish with depth and an undeniable flavor content.

If you happen to be in the mood for quality Vietnamese food and you are in the Fort Worth area, please try Four Sisters. Tuan Pham and his team are doing things right.
