Grand Prairie continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The newest retailer to call this flourishing Dallas suburb home is California furniture retailer Living Spaces. Their grand opening is slated for Friday, May 17th. I was fortunate to get a glimpse of what Living Spaces has to offer by attending their grand opening preview event. Here is the low down.
I was overwhelmed initially because there was so much to see. However, once I grabbed some tasty hors d'oeuvres provided by Capital Grill and a glass a wine from the bar, my mind at ease and I basked in decor heaven. Keep in mind the food and drink perks were only for the event. Sorry!
Living Spaces is here to give competitors like Rooms To Go, Haverty’s and Bassett a run for their money. In true furniture store fashion, this retailer offers options for all rooms in your home. The design aesthetic or style of the furniture found here is more on the modern and contemporary side. If you are into sleek clean lines then Living Spaces will be the place for you. There are some rustic elements as well that will catch your eye.
To meet the needs of all customers, purchases can be made in store and online. Delivery and assembly are also offered for an additional fee. For those who are design challenged, Living Spaces offers a checklist to help you determine what you need to make you house feel more like a home.
If you are into customizing your own furniture, you’ll appreciate the in-store design studio which offers over 100 fabric choices. Did I mention its offered at no additional cost and your furniture is delivered within 2-3 weeks?
For those of you who are fans of the hit HGTV show Fixer Upper, you’ll will be overjoyed to learn that Magnolia Homes by Joanna Gaines is featured at Living Spaces.
Veteran designers, TLC reality tv stars and power couple Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent offer their design collection at Living Spaces as well.
Maybe you don’t need any furniture but your space is begging to be spruced up a bit with accent pieces. There are plenty of chic home decor options to choose select from pillows, wall art, mirrors, throw pillows and so much more.
For those of you are financially challenged but have some decent credit, financing options are available. And yes, you can choose between, 6, 12, or 18 months no interest.
Customers with children can shop in peace by dropping their kids off at the indoor playground.
Overall, Living Spaces is a nice option to have around. In my opinion, some of their price points were a little high and quality in some furniture options look a little cheap. I didn’t see any items I had to have immediately. I did like their wall decor and accents which will help add some color and contrast to the heavily muted palette of the furniture pieces. This is not the store for customers looking for more traditional furniture that can be found at a competitor such as Ashley’s. I am sure Living Spaces will acquire a loyal fan base here in the DFW.
Welcome to the neighborhood!
